A monkey swung, a bear did roam,

All gathered where the sun did shine.
Creatures of every kind did convene,
To hear the story, evergreen.

They dreamt of peace, a shared desire,
To ask the King, to raise the fire
Of hope, that in the forest green,
No violence would ever be seen.
No life would end, no flesh be torn,
No blood be spilled, no breath forlorn.
All creatures at one stream would drink,
Together walk, and never sink.
This they would call a jungle plea,
But who would dare approach the tree
Of the King's domain, to speak their plight?
A sacrifice would claim the light.

The cat then spoke, "I'll bear the plea,
I'll be the messenger, you'll see.
Blessed be, blessed be, my kin!
I'll go and face the lion's grin."
"But heed, oh cat," a voice did warn,
"The king is vain, the talk forlorn.
Tell him, 'A feast awaits today,
Come, eat your fill, without delay!
A feast of joy, a joyful day,
All are prepared, come what may!
No one will resist, it is true,
He'll be drawn in, and then we'll do
As we desire, a different game,
Then we'll control, and tame the same.'"
"Go, cat, go, without delay,
Fulfil your task, come what may!"

"Oh, aunt, I'm your son, I'll go with you,
To share the burden, and be true.
I'm your son, and I will say,
A feast awaits him, come what may!
A celebration in the wood,
As if the court lacked what's good.
The king is in for a grand feast,
Come forward now, and be released.
Come, you'll eat your fill with glee,
Then go ahead, follow me."

"Fool, how can I lead the way?
You must show me the path, today!"
"True, my son, I'll show the way,
To guide your path, come what may!"

"Hark, hark! Where are you all?"
"Oh, Mother Jackal, hear my call!"
"Why fear now? Why tremble so?
I'll share a spell, so you may know:
The words of fear, the words forlorn,
The king is vain, the talk is worn.
What is the spell? If you fear death,
Then you will fail with every breath.
If you advance, if you are bold,
Then death itself will lose its hold.
Hark, hark! To whom will you say?
To whom will you feast today?"

"He does not fear me, that's for sure.
Here, the king's rule shall endure.
Do you know him, do you see?
You do not know the power of we.
What is this power? What is this plea?
The power of the people, their unity.
Look before your very eyes,
Can you see the surprise?
That no sacrifice will occur,
And no painful story will stir.
All will dance, all will sing,
And celebrate ahimsa's ring.
Who will dance? Who will play?
The monkey will play, today.
And the bear will dance, come, oh king,
