Here is an English translation of this doleful song by Sahir Ludhianvi:
I am fed up with this struggle in life;
I may not spurn this world with a dejected heart.
I am grief stricken, cannot sing songs of joy;
Can only give forth what I get from life.
Spirits in the heart will rise one time more;
Even though I am weighed down with grief.
Today, I have broken all liens with hope;

Great ghazal recitation. Asha Bhonsle has also sung this ghazal in the movie Lighthouse. Music by N. Dutta. Both versions are equally good.
