It's a sweet, fun song, but it's rather ridiculous how this is a very "old-time" movie and then for this song she's wearing a denim vest and really modern (for the time the movie was made) makeup (the makeup is doubly ridiculous, since she was BATHING.)

it's not an "old time" movie as there r cars n helicopter in the movie. it's just that they r living in a remote area. the lady is wearing the guy's vest (she pulls out his flute from the vest) since her saree is torn while they r running away from her husband. as for the make-up, i'd like to believe that it's from the night b4 (she has to groom herself in her husband's prison-like castle).
