Lyrics of Thandi Havaa Ye Chandani Suhani - ठण्डी हवा ये चाँदनी सुहानी
thandi hava ye chandani suhani ai mere dil suna koi kahani
lambi si ek dagar hai zindagani ai mere dil suna koi kahani
sare hasin nazare, sapanon men kho gaye
sar rakh ke asaman pe, parvat bhi so gaye
sare hasin nazare, sapanon men kho gaye
sar rakh ke asaman pe, parvat bhi so gaye
mere dil, tu suna, koi aisi dastan
jisako, sunakar, mile chain mujhe meri jan
manzil hai anjani
thandi hava ye chandani suhani ai mere dil suna koi kahani
aise main chal raha huun pedon ki chhanv men
jaise koi sitara badal ke ganv men
aise main chal raha huun pedon ki chhanv men
jaise koi sitara badal ke ganv men
mere dil, tu suna, koi aisi dastan
jisako sunakar, mile chain mujhe meri jan
manzil hai anjani
thandi hava ye chandani suhani ai mere dil suna koi kahani
thodi si rat biti, thodi si rah gai
khamosh rut na jane, kya bat kah gai
thodi si rat biti, thodi si rah gai
khamosh rut na jane, kya bat kah gai
mere dil, tu suna, koi aisi dastan
jisako sunakar, mile chain mujhe meri jan
manzil hai anjani

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Thandi Havaa Ye Chandani Suhani - ठण्डी हवा ये चाँदनी सुहानी
The cool wind whispers, the moonbeams gleam, oh my heart, share a dream.
Life's a long road, a winding stream, oh my heart, share a dream.
All the lovely sights, in slumber now reside,
Mountains too, on the sky's embrace, have gently sighed.
All the lovely sights, in slumber now reside,
Mountains too, on the sky's embrace, have gently sighed.
My heart, tell a tale, of a kind so rare,
That, in the listening, brings solace to my care.
The destination, unknown, somewhere.
The cool wind whispers, the moonbeams gleam, oh my heart, share a dream.
I walk this path, 'neath the shadowed trees,
Like a star lost, in the cloud's unease.
I walk this path, 'neath the shadowed trees,
Like a star lost, in the cloud's unease.
My heart, tell a tale, of a kind so rare,
That, in the listening, brings solace to my care.
The destination, unknown, somewhere.
The cool wind whispers, the moonbeams gleam, oh my heart, share a dream.
A little of night has passed, a little of road remains,
The silent season, speaks of untold strains.
A little of night has passed, a little of road remains,
The silent season, speaks of untold strains.
My heart, tell a tale, of a kind so rare,

Thanks for the info bro... but 'copied' is a wrong term to use... the basic
mukhda is 'inspired' from that 1956 song.. the remaining song (incl
yodelling) and arrangement is very different and original.. infact the
antara is a supreme example of melody which is totally indian (complete
with a sweet and suttle 'harkat').. so you can not take the credit of
composing away from the Genius who was very open about the influence
western music had on him !

A singer survives by the quality of his voice that lingers in the minds of
listeners of melodies. When Kishor,or for that matter any singer, is at his
best, you find such tonal quallity in his voice. By the way, can any body
find "Din albele, pyar ka mausam" by Lata and Manna Dey from Begunah?
