Her gaze, a sunbeam on a weary face,
They see a bloom, a lie the world embraces.
They claim the ill are healed, the fever spent,
But touch of idols, what they've truly meant?

A Brahmin whispers, "Yes, the year is kind,"
Though shadows lengthen, truth they leave behind.

We know the truth of heavens, bright and bold,
We know the lies of stories to be told.
Yet, for the heart, a solace we must find,
To keep the spirit tethered to mankind.
