vedon udhar hua brmha ne punh rcha jag sara

One Vishnu, in forms untold, for devotees' grace,
Keshav, ocean of mercy, compassion's embrace,

A Brahmin, self-born, offered water's rite,
A tiny fish then entered, bathed in morning light.
The fish then spoke, "Protect me, do not cast me aside,
Fearsome creatures of the water, will surely me deride,
Protect me, O great one, be my guiding hand."
He saw the root of dharma, with compassion he planned.
The little fish then grew, a wondrous, swift command,
And sought her home, the ocean vast, across the land.
A deluge swelled, a boat appeared, against the tide.

The seven sages, seeds of all the world, embraced,
Manu, the king, took his seat, in time and space.
The fish then came, and to its side, the boat she tied,
Whose helmsman is the Lord, in whom all trust abide.
Madhu and Kaitabh, demons fierce, by the fish were slain,
The Vedas freed, Brahma reborn, life's cycle to regain.

Hari, Murari, slayer of Madhu and Kaitabha,
O Lord Narayan, Vasudeva, the water's master,
In the great deluge, Hari took fish form, a treasure,
He who transcends the ocean of sorrow's measure.
Whoso hears Vishnu's tale, across the sea, they fare,
Keshav, ocean of mercy, compassion's prayer,
