Yahi Hai Tamanna Tere Dar Ke Samane - यही है तमन्ना तेरे दर के सामने
Lyrics of Yahi Hai Tamanna Tere Dar Ke Samane - यही है तमन्ना तेरे दर के सामने
yahi hai tamanna tere dar ke samne
meri jaan jaaye, meri jaan jaaye
hay yahi hai tamanna tere dar ke samne
meri jaan jaaye, meri jaan jaaye, hay

tere dar pe aaya to bas aa gaya main
na pichhe hatunga jamane ke darse
abhi aa raha hu abhi kese jau
mila kya hai mujhko abhi tere dar se
jara dekh lu main yeh rukh ke bahare
yeh kad pyara pyara yeh julfon ke saye
hay yahi hai tamanna tere dar ke samne
meri jaan jaaye, meri jaan jaaye, hay

gila hai yehi mujhko tere khuda se
hasin jisne itna banaya hai tujhko
na aata kabhi teri galiyo mein zaalim
tere husn ne khud bulaya hai mujhko
jalakar koi shamma kaise kahega
ke dekho yaha par na parwana aaye
hay yahi hai tamanna tere dar ke samne
meri jaan jaaye, meri jaan jaaye, hay

mohabbat mein teri agar maut aaye
toh woh maut kitni hasin maut hogi
kisi roz main tera daaman pakadkar
jo mar jau kyaa dilnashin maut hogi
agar koi aisi ghadi aa rahi hai
toh meri dua hai woh jaldi se aaye
hay yahi hai tamanna tere dar ke samne
meri jaan jaaye, meri jaan jaaye, hay
lyrics of song Yahi Hai Tamanna Tere Dar Ke Samane
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Yahi Hai Tamanna Tere Dar Ke Samane - यही है तमन्ना तेरे दर के सामने
Before your threshold, this is all I crave,
That my soul depart, my very life to leave.
Oh, before your threshold, this is all I crave,
That my soul depart, my very life to leave, oh.

I came to your door, and I am bound here now,
No fear of the world will make me turn away.
I am arriving, how can I depart this hour?
What have I yet received from your holy sway?
Let me gaze upon your face's radiant bloom,
Your lovely stature, the shadows of your hair.
Oh, before your threshold, this is all I crave,
That my soul depart, my very life to leave, oh.

I question fate, who carved your loveliness,
Who made you so exquisitely, divinely fair.
The tyrant in me never would have wandered here,
But your beauty itself beckoned me to share.
How can a burning flame command,
"Let not the moth come to the fire's snare"?
Oh, before your threshold, this is all I crave,
That my soul depart, my very life to leave, oh.

If death should find me in love for you,
What a beautiful death that death would be.
One day, holding your hem, I pray,
If I should die, what a sweet release, to be free.
Is such an hour drawing ever near?
My prayer is that it comes swiftly to me.
Oh, before your threshold, this is all I crave,
That my soul depart, my very life to leave, oh.

‘Tere ghar ke saamne’
After the release of the film Tere Ghar ke Saamne in 1963 with music by SD
Burman, possibly the makers of ‘Aap Ki Parchhaiyaan’ (1964), wanted a ched
chaad song with a similar phrase… Raja Mehdi Ali Khan wrote this catchy
song, with the words ‘Tere dar ke saamne’. ‘Dar’ is ‘doorstep’ in English.

The meter was similar to a couple of earlier songs like ‘Thandi hawayen’
originally by SD Burman, and ‘Rahen na Rahen Hum’ by RD Burman, but Madanji
tuned this one with a different feel, with Rafi Saab excelling as usual.
Interestingly, a harmonium riff was used throughout the song for additional
‘lachak’. Many years later the title song of ‘Saagar’ was based on the same
meter.
The song is filmed on Dharmendra and Supriya Choudhary

beutifuly written by mehdi alikhan sab, tuned by madan mohan sab, sung by
rafi sab, picturised on dharamji and supriya choudri. all good songs went
to dharamji during his early career itself, and rafi sab voice suits dharam
indeed.

Thanks for the upload. Every one seems happy to the see the movements of
those hips but what about the pretty girl who was forced in the film to
make those hips go around. Can I please be known who was the smart girl. To
me, she seems to be the actress from Tollywood of Kolkata famous Supriya
Devi. Please correct me if I'm not.
