Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Yashomati Mayyaa Se Bole Nandalaalaa - यशोमती मईयाँ से बोले नंदलाला
To Yashoda, Nandlala did speak,
To Yashoda, Nandlala did speak:
"Why is Radha fair, and I, so dark?
Why is Radha fair?"
Smiling, she answered, her son to appease,
"You came in the darkness, the midnight's ease,
My darling Kanhaiya, oh, my darling dear,
The dark cloak embraced you, that's why you are here."
To Yashoda, Nandlala did speak,
"Why is Radha fair, and I, so dark?"
Smiling, she answered, "Listen, my sweet one,"
"Listen, my sweet one, my beloved son.
Radha's fair skin, her eyes so bright,
Her kohl-lined eyes, they cast a spell of night.
The magic of those eyes, that's why you are here."
To Yashoda, Nandlala did speak,
"Why is Radha fair?"
Then Radha arrived, with a graceful sway,
Then Radha arrived, in a playful way,
"I cast no spell," she said with a smile,
"Mother, Kanhaiya, oh, your love is so wild
And unique in this world, that's why you are here."
To Yashoda, Nandlala did speak,
"Why is Radha fair, and I, so dark?"

im not talking about divine, and apparently your definition of divine
differs from ours. And of course I am protective of my culture and
religion, to protect it from people like you, who think they can have an
opnion about stuff they know absolutely nothing about. Because you read a
book or 2 about our culture doesnt mean you understand. I hope you
understand

apparently yes! You don't have to understand it, just accept it, because
this is not your concern, you are not Indian. Also you did not see the
movie and you don't know why this film is made. Get well informed first
about our ancient culture and religion before you make statements, please.

not that )) i think u dont get my point. Its just that while singing about
God you never think of impressing someone with your body. But it is showed
in her body language,,clothes and everything that she is actually not
singing with her full attention, concentration and dedication towards god.
If u think i am wrong and you can worship and sing of god like that i also
have no problem becuase i am tired now to reply to people who dont get what
i said here and laugh, you can go on with yr views
