lakadhara tha ek mara
hua ranjo musibat ka
pasand aaya use ye zikr
bismillah ki barkat ka
aur ek din kinare par
mile usko wo maulana
lakadhare ne chume hath
jab hazrat ko pahchana
fir usne pucha kahiye to
kaha sarkar jana hai
wo bole baithkar kashti me
naiya paar jana hai

kaha usne ki hazrat ko
jarurat kya hai kashti ki
ki bismillah ke aamil
kajat kya hai kashti ki
mujhe ye ishm aadab
aap hi ne to bataya
bajifa maine billah ka
hazrat se paya hai
ye ek sachi ribayat hai
fir usne padhke bismillah
jo dariya me kadam rakha
humesha ki tarah alaah ne
uska bharam rakha
use pani pe chalte dekhkar
hairan the maulana
magar uske liye
aakha tha dariya se guzar jana
kiya dil se amal usne
to paya aisa fal usne
yahi imani takat hai
yahi sari sadakat hai

These moths are Mohammed, this is truth's decree,
"In the name of Allah," a hidden grace we see,
My Master's mercy veiled, a sacred decree.
This is the blessing, the "Bismillah" bright,
The crown upon the Quran's hallowed height,
The "Bismillah" hailed as faith's own soaring flight.
Who whispers this, their spirit takes to soar,
Forever onward, evermore,
His mercy flowing, and His grace to pour.
This is my Master's gift, His tender art,
The "Bismillah's" blessing, within the heart.

Buzahl, he mocked, "From heaven you descend,
Upon God's heart, your claim to now extend.
Cleave the moon in two, if you are true."
The Prophet showed, this wondrous view,
He raised his hand, the "Bismillah" new,
The blessed gesture, pure and true.
The moon then parted, in that moment grand,
The world rejoiced, a holy band.
A true devotion, in this radiant strand,
This "Bismillah's" blessing, through the land.

A sacred prayer, this is, not a tale to tell,
The Maulana spoke, where wisdom fell,
This true devotion, a whispered prayer,
Descends into the river's care,
And walks the waves, without a care.
A woodcutter, bowed by grief and pain,
Heard the "Bismillah," and felt the rain,
Of blessings fall, and rise again.
One day he met the Maulana there,
He kissed his hand, beyond compare,
And knew the Prophet's grace to share.
"Where, oh Master, do you now reside?"
He asked, "Across the waters, I must glide."

The woodcutter, said, "Why need a boat,
For one who lives within, the holy note
Of 'Bismillah'?" He had learned the art,
The recitation, for a brand new start.
This true devotion, a work of the heart,
He stepped in the river, with faith so bold,
And like before, a story to be told,
Allah's promise, to behold.
He walked on water, as the river flowed,
The Maulana watched, his spirit glowed,
He trusted, and the river was his road.
With heart he acted, and the fruit he found,
This faith's true power, upon the ground,
This is the truth, forever bound,
This "Bismillah's" blessing, all around.
