i saw this movie at a young impressionable age many yrs ago on doordarshan
and could never get over the pathos it portrays and the feelings that are
evoked by sahir's poetry.pyaasa made us realise and recognised the
greatness of sahir as a poet . same for dekhi zamaane ki yaari by kaifi
aazmi from kaagaz ke phool .although the memories of these two movies are
dim ,such poetry leaves a mark forever and plays havoc with the emotions of
sensitive people.

the only way to live happily is to accept what u cant change and let go the

another movie of high merits, full of poetry from Sahir Ludhianvi. You have
commented aptly. I saw the movie in the year 1978 and bade good bye to a
beautiful place of working, never to return there again... full of bitter
memories for no reason.
