My father was right saying that Saigal was the best singer. What superb
quality of singing with words coming out like flowers with high fragrance
spreading all over. No wonder the divine being became selfish and got him
up there at such an early age to listen to his singing exclusively.

Tilat Mahmood is by far the greatest singer that bollywood has produced
yet.He is second to none after Badey Ghulam Ali khan. Lataji was spot on
when she proclaimed that a singer of his peer will never come to Bollywood
till the end of the world.He had an exotic tremulous voice which is a
marvel. When he did the full Alaap upfront singing ghazal he would put to
shame any doyen claiming Ustad. Mehdi Hasan is a distant second. The rest
is hype or ignorance.
