he is my favourite too. Suresh Wadekar is one of the best things to happen
to the ghazal/film music world after the rafi-kishore era. The way he sings
"humne bahane se, chup ke zamaane se, palkon ke parde mein ghar bhar liya
..." melts my heart everytime I hear it. Ofcourse Gulzarji's lyrics and Mr.
Illayaraja's music are unmatchable. This song and "Surmaye akhiyon mein"
from the same movie are SHEER PERFECTION.
