Saraswatichandra (1968) It starred Nutan and Manish among others and was
directed by Govind Saraiya. It was also the last Bollywood movie to be made
in black and white The film was based on Saraswatichandra, a landmark
Gujarati novel, by Govardhanram Madhavram Tripathi, a famous author of
early twentieth century Gujarat, India. It also won the National Film

It is a tragic song. Yet so sweet!! Kalyanji Anandji gave better songs to
Mukeshji than even Shankar=-Jaikishen--oh how deep and heavy they were and
how much Mukeshji was involved in rendering them!! It was Raj Kapoor's
visual effects that made the songs of Mukesh in his films more popular!!!
