i don't think so..she did well in quite a number of movies like Mausam,
Aradhana, Amar Prem and recently Virudhh.. its just that she has got a very
sophisticated look which makes it easy for one not to notice her actual
talent. Kinda like Aishwarya Rai whose beauty is always the main focus
rather than her acting so much so no one notices when she actually does
well in the acting dept.

You are so right in your assessment. Amitabh acts in movies from money
point of view. He doesn't fit in the class of rajesh, dilip kumar, rajender
kumar, dev anand and some other folks in that era. Sometimes I am from
Lucknow, been in the USA since 1982 and now really want to go back live in
the past!!!!!!!!!!! Have you seen the movie Palki which was shot in

i agree with arunshiv that the golden era of hindi music has gone.todays gen is used to all kinds of junk food,cola burger,junk junk and even junk music. Tu kaun hai tera naam hai kya.. Sita bhi yahaan badnaam hui... the lyrics are just alfaaz nahin hai too great. the actors sharmila tagore,rajesh khanna .the picturisation it blends so well with the song.you feel the sorrow in you when you hear it.. i use to listen old songs on radio "bela ke phool " programme on akashwani.
