There is a tremendous sense of joy in this song. Rustic, half-fed poor
village children in soiled clothes in the midst of dilapilated mud houses
are displaying such happiness. Their joy is so contaguous that it grips the
man and the woman who know that they are not really husband and wife - yet
they get immersed in that very idea. Great sense of beauty. Thanks

This movie was on in my country (Romania, East Europe) when I was in the second grade and now I am 39.
