Its not a wedding dance. Its danced primarily by Gujarathis (folks from the
state of Gujrath) during an entire week called Navarathari festival. Its
also done in Tamilnadu.called there it called Kollam dance.

Well, That one performed by Naveen during the Indian Wedding is a Punjabi
dance I think. and yeah...that and few other types dances are done during
weddings..but not all weddings have dances. Many of the Indian weddings
held here in US these dances have some dances ..more for fun. But these are
not very different than doing the Macerena at other non Indian weddings. :)
