Great song, Amitabh just smolders ... but Rakhee's hair style just cracks
me up. Did she just return from a Star Wars audition ?! And the dance steps
at about 3:41 is just hilarious. Man, Vinod Khanna just can't dance and

the movie is called 'muqaddar ka sikander' - starring amitabh bhachan. the
dvds usually have subtitles. this movie is one of my favourites. i used to
hate it as a child cos i never understood the movie. now that iam grown up,
its a hot favourite with me. the magic about this particular song is, it
was the coolest hippiest song at the time when it came out. everyone but
everyone was hooked on it. now even after 30 odd years it still is still
the coolest song around. an evergreen song. classic

probably in the same league: 'jawani jaaneman' - from the film namak halaal
'jimmy jimmy' - from the film disco dancer. these songs along with the
present one were way ahead of thier times. one can never get bored of them,

This movie was directed by Prakash Mehra who was considered as Amitabh's godfather (along with Manmohan Desai). Prakash Mehra had given Amitabh his first hit with Zanjeer in 1973. In one of his interviews, Prakash Mehra discussed the making of MKS. He felt that there had been no mature love sotry since Sangam. He and Khader Khan sat together and scripted this movie. There are many love triangles in this movie like Amitabh-Rakhi-Vinod, Amitabh-Rekhja-Amjad Khan, Amitabh-Rekha-Raki.
