Comments on song "Saayonaaraa Waadaa Nibhaaungi"

@srinivassiddarth - you are comparing an almost fully literate first world country to India with a population of over a billion... - a very unfair comparison.
srinivassiddarth on August 07, 2010
i was trying to put a sense of hygiene and cleanliness amongst indian people. even though japanese have a very small land area and very small population compared to india, they became an advanced nation. how?with values, determination and hard work,. that was 40 years ago. how about india and indians even after 40 years?i'm sure it is more stinkier than ever.
nimmipournami on August 11, 2010
A good song Melodious ..Old is gold...TRUE!

ravspavs on August 18, 2010
@ChenJunHung
The song is Indian. There is only one Japanese word used which is sayonara which means Good Bye.
freiherrudet on August 18, 2010
@ravspavs The fact is that no one envies India, and every country which evolves, adopts western culture- not the other way around. No one wakes up and says, 'Hey, let's be more like India!'
ravspavs on August 18, 2010
@freiherrudet
Now, let me tell u that this is just a song. There's nothing wrong with this song. It's a normal song so give it a break. If you like the song, then say, you like it, it sounds cool. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I don't know why you have to bring nationality and politics in between. The fact that people adopt Western culture is because English is an international language spoken everywhere. Language and culture go side by side. Learning English is a must in today's world.
ravspavs on August 18, 2010
@freiherrudet
So when people learn English, they also end up learning the culture. As I said, language and culture go side by side. Western culture is simplistic and easy to adopt, adapt, and follow. It's not very complicated or complex. The world these days in fast and technology driven. Traditional lifestyle and the pace of the modern world don't really fit nicely. Western culture and lifestyle is quick, simple, and easy and conforms to the needs and expectations of the contemporary world.
xxbuddy on August 19, 2010
@ravspavs I completely agree with you, language & culture go side by side and two wouldnt argue about the role of English in this world. It is spoken all over the world including India!!

@cadburrydream It'snot in India, this clip has been filmed in Tokyo, Japan. The building with the large stone foundation is part of the imperial palace. I'm not sure where park with the large grass lawn is located, but I guess it could be Ueno Park

It sad that Indian try to imitate FILTHY AMERICAN culture (if they even have a culture), I look up to Japan, they live in harmony with technology and yet they retain their culture.

Japan is the perfect example for India.

Asha Parekh looks very cute in this Japanese attire!!!

@Jkun Hello , its a song of departure and a promise to meet again. The heroine says Sayonara (japanese for goodbye) and promises to meet again the next day and then to continue to talk and have more fun. And as you see in the video the hero is spellbound by the actress and follows her despite her promise to meet again. Hence the blossoming of a love affair :). Hope this helped

I am a Japanese. It's very intersting===Scenery of Tokyo in1966, and how Indian people saw Japan at that time. I was surprised that this heroine wears kimono in very correct manner. I guess Japanese stylists join this film. I can feel their curious eye on Japan, but few wrong describe. Anyway, very interesting. May be we see India in same kind of gaze.

Based on Raag Bhupali, a very melodius song from great duo SJ and legendry Lata ji. A successful attempt to feel Japan is made through musical instruments ... Such wonderful composers are totally missing now ...
