. What a wonderful display of our old-world musical heritage ! A divinely
gifted voice seasoned through classical riaz wows us with minimal
orchestral support. Thanks, Ajay.

exemplary voice voice control and singing. Kanan Devi is rated better than
Lata by many for sweetness and unusual curves in her voice. She had a
gifted voice and must have praciced hard to shape her voice resulting in
those matchless curves of her own.

They didn't release Saigal and Kanan Devi's duet on discs because they were
both from different recording companies. Usually there were three versions
of all of their duets: the film duet itself, a Saigal-only soundtrack
version, and a Kanan Devi-only soundtrack version. I'm not sure if this
song had a Saigal-only version though, but the film was definitely a duet.
