Sanwariyaa Prem Ki Bansi Sunaa - साँवरिया प्रेम की बंशी सुना
Lyrics of Sanwariyaa Prem Ki Bansi Sunaa - साँवरिया प्रेम की बंशी सुना
sanwariyaa prem ki bansi sunaa
sanwariyaa prem ki bansi sunaa
patali-patali zaraa si banasi
bade-bade gun gaaye
saat suro ke pher badal se
saare raag bajaaye
sanwariyaa prem ki banasi sunaa
sanwariyaa prem ki bansi sunaa

niramohi ko rup dikhaaye
mohi ko tarasaaye
munh par daal ke kaali kamaliyaa
din ko raat banaaye
sanvariyaa prem ki bansi sunaa
sanvariyaa prem ki bansi sunaa

man ke dhyaan se rajadhaa raani
lambi daud lagaaye
man ke dhyaan se rajadhaaraani
lambi daud lagaaye
mathuraa se
mathuraa se gokul tak jaaye
darashan kar laut aaye
mathuraa se gokul tak jaaye
darashan kar laut aaye
laut aaye phir jaaye, laut aaye phir jaaye
laut aaye phir jaaye, laut aaye phir jaaye
banasi sunaaye, banasi sunaaye, banasi sunaaye
lyrics of song Sanwariyaa Prem Ki Bansi Sunaa
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Sanwariyaa Prem Ki Bansi Sunaa - साँवरिया प्रेम की बंशी सुना
Dark-skinned lover, play the flute of love,
Dark-skinned lover, play the flute of love.
A reed so slender, a breath so slight,
Yet sings of glories, both day and night.
Seven notes dance, a shifting decree,
Weaving all melodies for you and me.
Dark-skinned lover, play the flute of love,
Dark-skinned lover, play the flute of love.

To the heart unmoved, a glimpse of grace,
To the yearning soul, a longing space.
Draped in darkness, a cloak of night,
Turning the day to shadows and light.
Dark-skinned lover, play the flute of love,
Dark-skinned lover, play the flute of love.

From the heart’s devotion, Radha runs free,
From the heart’s devotion, Radha runs free,
A long race she runs, a spirit ablaze,
From Mathura’s walls to Gokul’s maze.
To Gokul she flees, the vision to keep,
Then back to Mathura, where secrets sleep,
Back and forth, forever bound,
Back and forth, where love is found,
Back and forth, again and again,
Play the flute, again and again,
Play the flute.

They didn't release Saigal and Kanan Devi's duet on discs because they were
both from different recording companies. Usually there were three versions
of all of their duets: the film duet itself, a Saigal-only soundtrack
version, and a Kanan Devi-only soundtrack version. I'm not sure if this
song had a Saigal-only version though, but the film was definitely a duet.

exemplary voice voice control and singing. Kanan Devi is rated better than
Lata by many for sweetness and unusual curves in her voice. She had a
gifted voice and must have praciced hard to shape her voice resulting in
those matchless curves of her own.

. What a wonderful display of our old-world musical heritage ! A divinely
gifted voice seasoned through classical riaz wows us with minimal
orchestral support. Thanks, Ajay.

Excellent quality - in the movie it was a duet with Saigal - this must be a
later or separate recording - thx for posting
