V. Siddhartha on November 26, 2008 An immortal song of longing by an immortal singer. Priceless. Thanks for
ranabhola on December 06, 2008 i heard this song on a moonlit night near my window with all my lights off.
I felt what heaven is.
kadarkhanchacha on December 06, 2008 Beeuteefull Indian song. Shukran.
RituPM :) FEELThePurityPeace&DepthINMusicINYourShr on December 23, 2008 The hauntingly sweet voice of a longing heart lost in love! Mohammad Rafi
had that emotive power in his voice that brought life to the actors' heart
in the storyline . while taking the listener into his/her own romantic
dreamworld with ease. :) Beautiful. Thanks for this gem. Best Always. Ritu

iffypatel on January 21, 2009 i understand what u felt :) thts wat rafi sahab is !!
nasratkha on January 25, 2009 Rity, r u or were u a literature student? I feel the same way u felt.
Nasrat , Atlantic city, nj.
RituPM :) FEELThePurityPeace&DepthINMusicINYourShr on January 25, 2009 Yes, Nasrat, I was indeed a literature student, English and French, in
fact. But, when I post comments it's more a spontaneous joyful or sad
reaction from my heart to my appreciation and more than often my personal
perspective of the song and situation it's pictured in. Am not surprised
you felt the same way, for there's a hidden romantic in each one us, it's
but natural, but some feel it needs to stay eclipsed in real life to adhere
to the ridiculous social facade expected these days. Best!
nasratkha on January 27, 2009 Hi Ritu, as u would expect, I did bachelor and Master's in English
literature and worked as a teacher before migrated to this waste land of
T.S. Eliot. People of my age don't listen to old music much, but I deeply
deeply feel and realise the meaning and melody of those old but evergreen
songs! Do u mind if I ask how long have been to this land? robotic worls?

isaac moses on September 03, 2009 lovely song, nice video, wonderful .
TheKalimata on October 14, 2009 This song is almost 60yrs old and feels like brand new and fresh each and
everytime I listen to..those syricis are gone..rafi sab..RIP..
blahblaher on October 19, 2009 Divine...a classic example of 'everlasting'.:)
rahdisas on December 20, 2009 I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but IMHO Rafi's voice is VERY
VERY different in this song from his usual style. Closer to Talat and
Kishore than himself IMO - does anyone know the reason or indeed any other
songs like this one?
Ranjit Gulvady on December 21, 2009 hi rahdisas..yeah ur right...it sounds a lot like kishore kumar to
me!...the only reason i can think of is that this being his one of his
older recordings, its different from the rafi voice that all of us are
familiar with(the one of the 60s)
kuckudk on January 04, 2010 Who is singing You or Mohd Rafi.? I am really confused.
monalisa7 on January 08, 2010 Yea, it sounds more like Kishore Kumar and it threw me off for a bit but I
recognized the tone at 1:17 to be how I've always known Rafi's voice to be,
if that makes any sense. I never get tired of this song, it's so beautiful.
Shyamal Basu on January 20, 2010 @kuckudk This is Rafi Sahib for sure. Listen to the word "roshni" at 1:20
which is how Rafi Sahib pronounced the word. The background music is also
the same as appeared in the original.
Nalin Joshi on February 12, 2010 I agree with your comments. Could it be that at the time of singing this
song he had a slight cold or possibly throat infection as they both affect
rahdisas on February 12, 2010 @monalisa7 Yes definitely. If you listen to his early songs like "Ye
zindagi ke mele" and "Tera khilona toot gaya balak" - you will hear a
similar voice. I love this early rafi voice - this song is probably my
favourite of rafi's.
Chandra Pokhriyal on February 14, 2010 Great song. In those days it was a style of singing people use to emulate
with a bit of coarse voice. That is the reason Rafi, kishore and Mukesh
resemble K L Sehgal's voice. In fact in Ravindra Sangeet or Bangla music
even ladies use to sing with a bit of coarse in their voice.
AlAlvares1 on March 16, 2010 The Song is by Mohammad Rafi - The king of Bollywood music
AlAlvares1 on March 16, 2010 I simply love this song its the best love you Rafi Sahab!!
AlAlvares1 on March 16, 2010 @Divjot04 Song is by Mohammad Rafi not Mukesh. Mukesh can never sing so
well like Rafi
AlAlvares1 on March 16, 2010 He was very young Age : - 21 or 26 at that time
A Prasad on March 19, 2010 mukesh and rafi were both great singers have some respect
radh193 on March 21, 2010 well asif410, u may know better, butnaushad saheb was aware that tone is to
be raised much higher in this song, and only rafi can raise it to higher
crescendo than all.i mean, talat, surender, mukesh. of course pradeep was
also there but he was unable to bring back it to lower crescendo.
dimaghkhrab on March 23, 2010 Great Mhd Rafi !
Peltonwheel on March 27, 2010 Very nice rendition...

mahendras100 on May 12, 2010 Absolutely wonderful. Rafi's voice has such depth that no one comes close.

dubbooman on May 28, 2010 tby far the best song ever of indian cinema. it was this song which
launched my love affair with indian songs. till then i used to be a fan of
the beatles, the carpenters. but this 1 song which i heard back in 1978
when i was in school convered me forever. i owe it all to my father was
used to listen to all the great singers rafi, mukesh , lata, talat, manna
dey , asha, mahendra k, kishore and had all their famous songs in his very
large collection. God Bless him for taste in music .
dr.yogesh mehta on June 02, 2010 thanks for the nice post.. he is wonderful always..
007trini on June 04, 2010 The beautiful night has slipped away, don't know when you will come...
bregoji on June 04, 2010 immortal rafi saab
Mr Gee on June 23, 2010 @virtueous1 Sorry, you are wrong my friend. Rafi Sahib's voice will always
be the best. His voice is beyond compare. It's considered blaspemy to
suggest that God will sing in anyone's voice, but if He choses anyone to
sing for HIm, it would be Rafi Sahib.
1955shashi on July 02, 2010 Perhaps one of Rafi's best. Absolutely spell bound by the magical combination of soulful lyrics, haunting music & timeless song. There is no greater joy than Rafi in full flow. We miss you, Rafi saab. Thanks for this memorable clip.
