jordan23authentics on February 17, 2009
Dre produced this song for Truth Hurts feat. Rakim back in I believe '02.
Awesome song from a pretty bad Indian film.
Jkash83 on February 19, 2009

11994 on March 23, 2009
whats the whip thingy called???looks so interesting.I agree with CrissiCullen that the Indian culture is beautiful but i wouldn't trade it as my filipino culture. I alson love indian food and music.
LastOneLeft on March 31, 2009
that whip thingy is called a whip
IJestI on April 04, 2009
DJ Quick produced the song. Dr Dre was just the Executive Producer of the album it was on.
11994 on April 04, 2009
i know what it is!!! i was hoping it would have and indian name.
pinkisu23 on April 05, 2009
they got sued because they stole this song without permission, they didn't even bother to change it or anything
xplosyv on April 08, 2009
i enjoy learning new things and i glad you posted this video...i knew that truth hurts had ripped it but to go back and find the original before the other pretty young indian girl did it is great!

thanks for posting...and i still think the indian lady's version is better for the upbeat tempo...
TheGodMar on April 16, 2009
Kanye's new CD (808s and Heartbreaks) is off the chain and definitely praiseworthy.
CleckleysProof on April 16, 2009
I must disagree, at least in part. If you appreciate the music on 808's it's fair enough and I'll continue to praise his production. But what is he now? A rapper that doesn't rap and a singer who doesn't sing. Douche just gets auto-tune to do evrything for him. Is it any wonder South Park ripped hima new one?
AzariaStarfire on May 07, 2009
Hey, can anybody help me locate the so addictive-truth hurts mix to this.. Their instrumental (minus the guy rapping all over it) Would love to dance to it, cant find it anywhere..
AzariaStarfire on May 09, 2009
Yeah, tried that.. Thanks. Found the cd its on but not the track listing. The cd is no longer available.. Tried ordering thru Amazon. Cheers all the same.
813jdec on May 09, 2009
I think i can help...
Ive been tryin 2 find this instrumental for a long time and i finally found it on limewire
So if you have limewire your most likely to find it there but i think its gonna be hard to find the version w/out Rakim(guy who raps) on the song
AzariaStarfire on May 11, 2009
Yeah, got a few mixes but not the one Im looking for, any idea what the instrumental you got is called? It might make it easier. Thanks.
nishanish87 on May 12, 2009
If possible, does anyone mind translating the title?
LeRoiSoleilLuv on May 22, 2009
does anyone know how old this song is? im guessing from the 80's...?
we3andhe on May 25, 2009
'It takes a little silk'...and the next line is: 'it take a little glass'
we3andhe on May 25, 2009
It's from the the 1981 film 'Jyoti'
nishanish87 on May 26, 2009
Oh. thanks sooo much. I apologize if this is an ignorant question but is the language Hindi. I'm not even quite sure if that's a language. My little brother is taking Arabic as his foreign language in high school but he says he doesn't understand this... I'm thinking, either he's not doing well in his class or that this is a different language. lol! Thanks again.

Nisha
XOxo
we3andhe on May 26, 2009
you are welcome. yes it's Hindi, which would be similar to Urdu...
Vla3d on June 04, 2009
what is she singing in the chorus?
danno700 on July 03, 2009
If I vaguely remember, it means something like "It takes a little glass, it takes a little satin".
M2307W on July 05, 2009
yeahh darling this is HINDI and thats a language
nishanish87 on July 05, 2009

She puts Beyonce to shame...lol you go girl
wickedegyptian on September 21, 2009
okay this is to all i know dre copied a sample piece and all but so does the indian music industry trust me the list could go on, i really think indian copyright holders should have used this to their full advantage they got so much more popular on the charts cause it got remixed with hip hop the only problem was YES DRE SHOULD AE DONE IT LEGALLY.
naesoflyy on September 25, 2009
It was not Dre but DJ Quik
IsaacA623 on September 29, 2009
I think it's great how cultures can get together thru music. Dre or Dj Quick whoever it was, definitely opened my eyes to the indian culture, never knew how interesting nor how beautiful it was. Yes, they should've gotten the sample legally, although i agree that it did put them on the charts ti be noticed throughout the western hemisphere. either way, it's amazing!
musytv on October 20, 2009
officially Quik is credit for "Addictive", Dr Dre is just for the remix version of this Track credited.
Great Sample and nice Job from Quik for this Joint. Probably we never would know this without him.
djsmileyoflasvegas on October 21, 2009
Dam finally found where addictive came from...i have the longer version on my site...1:00 min longer and worth it
AyatollahWatts on November 07, 2009
yeah when I found out Quik originally did this, I was like 1) wow, 2) how'd he manage to come across it.
musytv on November 07, 2009
yeah you right. The way how he clear this sample is really amazing and that without the permission, so without the help from Aruna Irani&Vijendra Ghadge. Very good job.
