What a beautiful sound Rajesh Roshan brought to Hindi films, unfortunately didn't had enough movies in his portfolio. Just note Pearl Padamsee has a little different sound but just before the song starts, she says in a sweet tone, "chal bajaa" as if Lata Mangeshkar said that. Such attention to detail! Most Amol Palekar films are my favourites, he did all such simple movies that one can keep watching them without getting bored any number of times, for eg., this, Golmaal, Chhoti Si Baat etc.

I do think movies do three things that are not healthy: 1) They tend to romanticize too much ; 2) They over simplify the complexity of feelings and needs ; 3) They do not challenge the heirarchy and the patriarchy in the system. I know, I know...you guys think I am Feminist bit-- and all that! I am going to make a film with a fat middle aged middle class woman as the heroine - and she has affairs with men in their 20s and 30s while everyone gossips.
