Lyrics of Aankhon Se Door Door -
kaun hain mere vo, ho kaun hain mere vo
koi bata do re mujhe koi bata do
kaun hain mere vo

kaun hain mere vo, ho kaun hain mere vo

gupchup mere man mein jo base kaun hain vo meet
mere kaun hain vo meet
kya unase meri hai koi poorv janam ki preet
poorv janam ki preet
pahali hi mulaaqaat mein apane hi lage jo
kaun hain mere vo
kaun hain mere vo, ho kaun hain mere vo

ek meethi si ulajhan mein ulajha hai mera ji
ulajha hai mera ji
praanon ka papeeha bhi pal pal pukaare pi
pal pal pukaare pi
main aaj kina ke naam ki
main aaj kina ke naam ki maala rahi piro
kaun hain mere vo
kaun hain mere vo, ho kaun hain mere vo

duniya mein sabhi se hai niraala mera anuraag
niraala mera anuraag
bheetar jale chiraag
main unko chaahati hoon
main unko chaahati hoon jaanu nahi jinko
kaun hain mere vo
kaun hain mere vo, ho kaun hain mere vo
kaun hain mere vo, ho kaun hain mere vo

lyrics of song Aankhon Se Door Door
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Aankhon Se Door Door -
Distant from the eyes,
distant from the eyes, yet near the heart's core.
Who are they to me, oh, who are they to me?
Tell me, oh tell me, someone,
who are they to me?
Distant from the eyes,
distant from the eyes, yet near the heart's core.
Who are they to me, oh, who are they to me?

Secretly in my heart, who resides, my beloved?
Who are they, my beloved?
Is there a love from a past life, a bond with them?
A past life's love?
In the very first meeting, they felt like my own,
who are they to me?
Distant from the eyes,
distant from the eyes, yet near the heart's core.
Who are they to me, oh, who are they to me?

In a sweet entanglement, my soul is ensnared,
my soul is ensnared.
My life's bird calls for the Beloved, every moment,
every moment it calls.
Whose name today,
whose name today, have I strung a garland with?
Who are they to me?
Distant from the eyes,
distant from the eyes, yet near the heart's core.
Who are they to me, oh, who are they to me?

Unique, my love, from all the world,
unique, my love.
I see nothing outside, within, a lamp burns bright,
a lamp burns bright within.
I long for them,
I long for them, though I know them not,
who are they to me?
Distant from the eyes,
distant from the eyes, yet near the heart's core.
Who are they to me, oh, who are they to me?
Who are they to me, oh, who are they to me?

Beautiful! :) SO nice to see the visuals of this song I first heard the
audio of on 13th Jan! As I said there, I absolutely LOVE the lyrics! :)
Very intuitive of the Lyricist! Being a die-hard romantic for life deep
down, I can testify & bet these thoughts expressed in the lyrics are, have
been, or will be felt by countless women at some point in life for that
magical someone! :) SO cute! :) Awesome orchestra! Charming Vintage appeal!
:) Love it. Thanks! :) Best Always. Ritu, USA, 4th Feb' 2010.

@shahidaly1 For me Lata's youth extends to 1960 when she turned 31. The
songs of Seema, Udan Khatola, Mughal-e-Azam, and a whole lot more come from
that period and the voice is glorious. "Downhill" is not what I would use
for it; though after 1960 one begins to miss the freshness of her earlier
years, her voice found few peers even after that.

@chamogaa i agree with you. By 1954 it was downhill for Lataji but she
continued to get all the winner songs so it did'nt matter -a winner song to
be a hit only needs a singer who can sing-thats all.Its been proven on
numerous occasions.Infact lousy songs from hit films do even better !! But
was Lata divine in the early 50's !!
