-- Thanks a lot for the Information friend :) I am a researcher of old Hindi film music (also a record collector; I have almost all the Hindi film records in my collection, from 1940 to 1990), but I am not at all aware of Western music. If "Rahen na rahen hum" is included, then "Thandi hawaayen" (Nau Jawaan) and "Saagar kinaare" (Saagar) should be included also; they have the same tune. Did you mean "Chand sa mukhda kiyun sharmaaya" from "Insaan Jaag Utha" ?

I can picture Rafi, " Please bring me the lyrics, show me the tune and in no time, "OK , I am ready for recording ". I can't see Rafi rehearsing this for 100-150 times like Mubarak Begum told me ! In fact, from this album other Hindi composers also took tunes...for ex...Baje payal cham cham from Chchalia, Rahe na Rahe..from Mamta, Maine bulaya aur tum aye from Apne huye Paraye, Ye chanda rus ka from insan jag utha...all movies from 60's. Original compositions are by Rahmani brothers.
