Lyrics of Jayen To Jayen Kahan - जाये तो जाये कहाँ
jaaye to jaaye kahan
jaaye to jaaye kahan
samjhega kaun yahan
dard bhare dil ki juban
jaaye to jaaye kahan
samjhega kaun yahan
dard bhare dil ki juban
jaaye to jaaye kahan
o jaane waale daaman chhudake
mushkil hain jeena, tujhko bhula ke
o jaane waale
o jaane waale daaman chhudake
mushkil hain jeena, tujhko bhula ke
isse to hain, maut aasan
jaaye to jaaye kahan
samjhega kaun yahan
dard bhare dil ki juban
jaaye to jaaye kahan
seene mein shole, saanso mein aahe
is zindagi se kaise nibhaye
seene mein shole
seene mein shole, saanso mein aahe
is zindagi se kaise nibhaye
har jajba hain veeran
jaaye to jaaye kahan
samjhega kaun yahan
dard bhare dil ki juban
jaaye to jaaye kahan
jaaye to jaaye kahan
samjhega kaun yahan
dard bhare dil ki juban
jaaye to jaaye kahan
samjhega kaun yahan
dard bhare dil ki juban
jaaye to jaaye kahan
o jaane waale daaman chhudake
mushkil hain jeena, tujhko bhula ke
o jaane waale
o jaane waale daaman chhudake
mushkil hain jeena, tujhko bhula ke
isse to hain, maut aasan
jaaye to jaaye kahan
samjhega kaun yahan

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Jayen To Jayen Kahan - जाये तो जाये कहाँ
Where do I go, where do I flee?
Who will understand the soul's decree?
The tongue of a heart, heavy with pain,
Where do I go, to wash away the stain?
Who will understand, in this desolate place?
The tongue of a heart, with sorrow's embrace,
Where do I go, to find my grace?
Oh, you who depart, escaping my hold,
Life is so hard, forgetting your mold.
Oh, you who depart, with your fleeing ways,
Life is so hard, through these desolate days.
Death would be sweeter, a release from this plight,
Where do I go, to bathe in the light?
Who will understand, in this endless night?
The tongue of a heart, robbed of its might,
Where do I go, to take my flight?
In my breast, embers, in my breath, sighs deep,
How can I live, these secrets to keep?
In my breast, embers, burning so fast,
How can I live, these shadows that cast?
Every feeling, a wasteland bare,
Where do I go, to escape despair?
Who will understand, the weight that I bear?
The tongue of a heart, beyond all compare,
Where do I go, beyond all care?

It is sad that we still cling to the history that divided us. The times have changed and somehow we have to find a way to be more sensible about what is needed at present than what happened at a time when we were either not born or were too young to understand anything. I hope everyone of us wakes up and does the right thing which is taught by every religion...HUMANITY.

dev anand was the biggest heart-throb of those days--this film features Dev and Kalpana Kartik (whom he was to marry later). Great Sahir, S.D., Lata number...actually this was not as lesser known as it may appear..

My God Dev Anand is soooooo handsome. My Dad says at one time College girls
used to drool over him. By the way I think the male version of this song is
better than Lata's

Very sensible and positive thinking. The mistake the political leaders made
because they did not think through what way the events will take place. At
least in future, people look towards better living conditions rather than
wars.
