Lyrics of Sawan Ke Mahine Me (Slow) - सावन के महीने में
chand ki chaal bhi hai bahki hui
raqat ki aankh bhi sharabi hai
sari kudrat nashe me hai jab yu
are maine pee li to kya kharabi hai
sawan ke mahine me
ek aag si sine me
lagti hai to pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me
ek aag si sine me
lagti hai to pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me
sawan ke mahine me
ek aag si sine me
lagti hai to pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me
sawan ke mahine me
ek aag si sine me
lagti hai to pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me
barso chalkaye maine
ye shishe aur ye pyale
barso chalkaye maine
ye shishe aur ye pyale
kuch aaj pila de aisi
jo mujhko hi pee le
har roz to yu hi dil ko
bahka ke main pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me
lambe jiwan se acha
wo ek pal jo apna ho
lambe jiwan se acha
wo ek pal jo apna ho
us pal ke baad ye duniya
kya gum hai agar sapna ho
kuch soch ke aisi bate
ghabrake mai pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me
makhane me aaya hun
mausam ka ishara paa ke
makhane me aaya hun
mausam ka ishara paake
dam bhar ke liye baitha hun
rangeen sahara pa ke
aati jo teri jid hai to
sarma ke main pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me
ek aag si sine me
lagti hai to pee leta hu
do char ghadi jee leta hu
sawan ke mahine me

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Sawan Ke Mahine Me (Slow) - सावन के महीने में
The moon's gait, a drunken sway, the night's eye, a reveler's gaze,
All of nature steeped in bliss, so what ill if I drink in this haze?
In the monsoon's heart, a fire ignites,
Within my breast, it fiercely bites.
So I drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power.
In the monsoon's heart, a fire ignites,
Within my breast, it fiercely bites.
So I drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power.
In the monsoon's heart.
In the monsoon's heart, a fire ignites,
Within my breast, it fiercely bites.
So I drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power.
In the monsoon's heart, in the monsoon's heart,
A fire ignites, within my breast,
So I drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power.
In the monsoon's heart.
For years, I've poured from glass and bowl,
For years, my soul has sought its goal.
Give me a draught that drinks me whole,
Each day, I soothe my weary soul,
And drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power, in the monsoon's heart.
Better a moment's vibrant fire,
Than lifetimes lived, devoid desire.
If after that, the world should fade,
A dream- then what sorrow shall pervade?
Reflecting thus, my fear takes hold,
And I drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power, in the monsoon's heart.
To the tavern, I've come, summoned by the season's call,
To the tavern, I've come, heeding the season's call.
For a breath, I sit, drawn by the painted wall,
If your insistence is the way, embarrassed I partake.
I drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power, in the monsoon's heart.
A fire ignites, within my breast,
So I drink, and taste the fleeting hour,
And live a while, within its power, in the monsoon's heart.

You did well to drop the idea of posting under "alcoholics anonymous'; the
theme now chosen is better. In movies there is no dearth for "Sharab"
songs, but this movie is unique in the sense we see start to end Sharabee -
extra-ordinary performance by Dev Anand to the annoyance of Lalita Pawar
and Madhubala. And, we have equal matching performance by Rafi Sahab in
rendering songs in inebriated mood. He has done it in other movies also.
Thank you.
