I had read somewhere...Meena Kumari never learnt dance in formal sense...but look at the impeccable timing of every smallest movement here...each one follows perfectly the smallest strike on Tabla...This is a masterpiece dance visual...

@venkimayyu film was released on 4-2-1972, she died on 31-3-1972

@venkimayyu this song was filmed sometime in 1963 or earlier. at that time she was not sick. in 1964 she separated from her husband and the film shooting stopped. it was resumed in 1969 when she was seriously ill. in the movie immediately after this song, she visits her friend then returns home. the remaining film after that was shot in 1969 onward and you can see she looks sick, weak, pale and older than her age. it was a great tragedy that the film could not be completed in 1964

@venkimayyu she was not sick during shooting of this song nor in the song "thare rahio" as both songs were filmed in 1963 or earlier. she fell sick after 1967 or so.they used a double ( padma khanna ) in the song "aaj hum apni duaoon ka asar ". All the scenes in which Raaj Kumar appears were shot in 1969 onward when she was seriously ill. in 1964 she broke off with her husband and the shooting of film stopped. it was resumed after 5 years and 12 days. what a tragedy...

dont have sense of melody..this song is orignally composed by ghulam
mohammad.later on was recomposed by naushad.ghulam ahmed passed away
before the realease of the film and could not see the success of this ever
