dev anand's corny dialogue delivery (hence awful acting), his old, stale,
wirey voice make it an uphill battle for rafi sahab. unfortunately, rafi
sahab has had to overcome this barrier in many times such as tere mere
sapne or din dhal jaye. fortunately he always comes out with flying colors.
god bless rafi sahab - he has the voice of a farishta. dev anand's single
greatest achievment was waiting 6 months to finish guide until dada burman
returned to health to finish the music score.

Whatever critics say Dev Anand was a very popular actor with his handsome
looks and easy style of acting. Particularly he was loved by college going
girls and boys for his easy style and unconventional way of delivering
dialogues. He used to be compared with Rock Hudson,Paul Newman and James
Garner by people who used to watch English films those days.His Kala Bazar,
Hum Dono, Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hotha Hai,Pocket maar,April Fool etc drew box
office crowd. Girls loved him boys immitated his style.

A refreshing comedy from Navketan! Dev Anand looked and acted his savvy
self. Nutan, as always, was perfect. And what can I say about the SDBurman
music, with Rafi and Lata to convey all the intricacies, it just reached
