In the context of this song, I disagree. Paris is where modern Western civilization, the philosophy of romanticism and free love was born. This song reflects a time period when Western civilization had not decayed to the extent it has today.

The real stars were Shanker and Jaikishen...they could create hits for
all the singers such as Mukesh ,Rafi, Manna Dey, Kishore, Mahendra Kapoor
as well as Lata ,Asha , Suman Kalyanpur and Sharda..no other music
directors could come close to them...
