number of Sikhs who joined Bose's INA, there were an equal number of
Bengalis. What have Bengalis got? Their land was also partitioned. They
have never had a President or PM from their community. Pranab Mukherjee is
the most capable politician in the Cabinet but he will never become PM
because he is perceived as a threat to Gandhi family. If you visit Cellular
Jail in Andamans, just count the number of Bengalis on the walls.

Well in singrur and nandigram those ppl were in arms...how many of the 10,000 in 1984 were posing resistance??? the situation in nandigram is complex...u cannot compare it with a genocide.was nandigram an organised genocide??

india, which is what the Khalistan Movement was about. Sikhs had become
very aggressive, even violent in those days. Even in normal exchange people
were scared of them. If a Sikh was on the bus and somebody lit a beedi, he
would be attacked. Sikh terrorism was our first brush with terror.
Transistor bombs and toy bombs were the invention of Khalistanis.

please read the complete history of indian govt. and sikhs.

Read about punjabi suba movement..read about indira gandhi illegal emergency of 1975-77.amnesty international reported that out of the 140,000 ppl arrested and tortured illegaly during the 2 years, 40,000 came from the nation's 1.5% minority..obviously indira hated sikhs..congress hated sikhs.

do you knw why militancy even began.militants arent just politically ambitious ppl...they have a reason

my independent sources say '50 bodies were taken to a hospital, it is impossible to ascertain how many died'...lets say all 50 dies.you are comparing 50 dead to 4,000 killed in the most horrible way.and that too only in the national capital.

Damn uve got some guts to make comparisons.hahahahaha.

btw..im giving govt. figures for sikhs as welll..when i say 4000 vs 14.i say govt. figures vs govt. figures..actual numbers for sikhs was over 10,000

seen many sikhs in the UK who wear a turban but trim their beard...
comparing that to the indians sikh they tend to be strong sikhism believer

and by the way, Maharan prataap was not from rajasthan, he was from Mewad,
rajastahn is the name given to princely states of Mewad after independance.
and a lot other rulers has ruled teretories in Afganistan, look for Mughal
empire Map , Ahoka's kingdom, Chandragup Morya's kingdon, and Mhrj Ranjeet
Singh did not rule Afganistan, he won it for some one else and gave to to
him, he won it but did not rule it :) he was a great great king

Sher-e punjab is a title, its not entitled to only punjabis or people who
belong to punjab, Its a title given to people who served the country with
some values, like brotherhood for countrymen, protecting religeon, giving
equivalent right to everyone, respecting people, bravery, kindness and
other things which we can not even bring in our characters(still worth
giving a try).

you are mixing things here my friend, i just gave you examles of those
kings just to explain that there has been a lot of kings who were as brave
as Mhrj Ranjeet Singh. Ahoka may would had been a crual king but he changed
so much that he rose above saints. and the land of afganistan belonged to
some other ruler which he merged in his kingdom. I am not sure what they
use to call that country at that time. But agreed that it was not called
afganistan. I was just giving you an ex of great people

@BengalG3 Maraths were very brave but come on the were not the only ones
fighting the Mughals. Sikh Misils were fighting in the Punjab and had even
sacked Delhi under Sardar Jassa Singh Aluliwalia that's why there are so
many Gurudwaras in Delhi cuz after he sacked Delhi he had them built at
places which were important to sikhism. Im just saying it was a joint
effort on both fronts leaving the Mughals weak on either front.

Love this movie Ajay Devghan & Amrita Roa The Legend of Baghath Singh.
Amria Roa is very preety in Vivah too. I lik Mahi re in Bagath Singh in which Amrita Roa follows Ajay Devgan its sweet song.
I loved Kisna of Vevik Oberio and Dum movie. Pagadhi Sambal Ke mean don't give up prestige of India. In Kisna Vevik gets the report about Bagath Singh & tries to protect them. Anthonia who is Katherina face problems & Kisna tries to protect her but he love Isha the India Lady very sweet movie.

@BengalG3 On a level, SIkhs and Marathas fought the same. But for
themselves and there areas.The Sikh's fought in Punjab and secured their
homeland. The distinct difference was, the Sikh's were outnumbered and
didb't have an empire to fight back with. But after destroying the Moguls
and bringing peace to the homeland, the set-up there own empire.. and it
was this empire that fell last to the British. And over 80% of the lives
given to win back India were Sikh.
