On reflexion, I think that this song had the biggest impact on people of my generation at that particular point in life. I was there and have heard thousands and thousands of songs. Many outstanding ones. Many as good as and maybe better, but not as popular as this one.

I am not from hindi, my understanding of the hindi is not v gd, and not so bad, but grew up in a hose where hindi movies/songs were part of our life, it was the spices of our life. sadly its not the case anymore coz of what so called bollywood is pushing out, but thanks to ppl like you we are able have a fresh breath.
