Very very nicely sung Jayanthi ji.. Your emotive input in singing, plus
your voice quality, togather they bring up every hidden sentiment that
these verses hide in their form. A corresponding work of Jagjeet Singh ji,
' vo kaagaz ki kashti vo baarish ka paani..' does a similarly wonderful
job. Asha ji, of course is Ashaji. Thanks for sharing.

Very touching very sentimental song, This is my favourite since decades.
You have sung it very close to the original, I like the modulations in your
voice. Very well sung Jayanthi. Keep singing.

"special" and you are one of them. Thanks for your lovely comment. Ye gaana
hi aise hai. Very touchy and emotional... I have sung it twice for two
difft tracks. I have also posted that as a video response. The other one is

bandini is one of the most perfect movies of Indian Cinema, all the songs merge seamlessly with the movie!
9431885 on May 18, 2011
Bandini was the tenth highest grosser of the year and was declared a 'Semi Hit' at the Indian Box Office, though it received not just critical acclaim but also sweeped that year's Filmfare Awards, winning six awards in all including the top awards of Best Film and Best Director, as well as Best Actress, and is still considered a landmark movie of the 60s, especially being last major outing of film director Bimal Roy, a master of realism..
Thanks for sharing ..

This immortal song was composed by S D BURMAN and penned by SHAILENDRA. It
is a song which made Ashaji cry when she heard the words from Shailendraji.
ALL good songs in BANDINI including O JANEWALE by Mukeshji.

I wonder where Mr Vivekgautam3 got his information on Shailendra's suicide?
This is so not true and extremely hurtful to those close to Shailendraji

Baabul ji main tere naazon ki paali, phir kyu hui main paraayi? I cry when this comes..
9431885 on December 20, 2011
..While rehearsing this song when Burman Da was not getting the desired effect , he went to Asha ji and said, " Asha tumhara koi bhai nahi hai kya ".
Result is before you in the shape of this memorable ,timeless classic,,
Thanks for sharing this touching song ..
Vivek Gautam on January 07, 2012
The mere fact that Shhailendra chose Raj Kapoor birthday to commit suicide
explains lot of things.
